MAA/TCM
The MAA Program offers a way for Local Governmental Agencies (LGAs) and Local Educational Consortia (LECs) to obtain federal reimbursement for the cost of certain administrative activities necessary for the proper and efficient administration of the Medi-Cal program. MAA activities include: Medi-Cal outreach, Facilitating the Medi-Cal application, non-emergency transportation of Medi-Cal eligible individuals to Medi-Cal covered services, Contracting for Medi-Cal services, Program planning and policy development, MAA coordination and claims administration, MAA Training, and General administration.
The TCM Program provides specialized case management services to Medi-Cal eligible individuals in a defined target population to gain access to needed medical, social, educational, and other services. TCM services include: Needs assessment; Development of an individualized Service Plan; Linkage and Consultation; Assistance with accessing services; Crisis assistance planning; and Periodic review. TCM program types are adult probation, outpatient clinics, linkages, public guardian, public health, and community.
