
New Beginnings is an innovative award-winning Alameda County initiative founded in 2007. The program honors and celebrates the creativity and vision of at-risk youth involved in Alameda County Juvenile Justice Center and foster care.

Program goals have been to develop creative skills and preparing youth for the future. The program's art products are designed in partnership with the Alameda County Arts Commission.

Artwork and youth images are from the Alameda County Arts Commission's Arts Education Program conducted at the Alameda County Juvenile Justice Center 2007 - 2012.
