Prepare for Winter Storms
DURING THE STORM
Staying Safe During A Storm:
- Listen to the RADIO (KCBS 740 or KGO 810) for emergency instructions.
- Listen to a battery-operated radio for the latest storm information.
- Listen/watch for flood reports and instructions
- Turn off all utilities at the main power switch and close the main gas valve if advised to do so.
- Keep children away from creeks and large drains which can be deadly during storms.
- Avoid areas subject to flooding
- Use 911 for emergencies only
