Celebrating Women Making a Difference
The Alameda County Women's Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding women for their achievements and contributions to Alameda County and its residents. This award is in recognition of a legacy of work - both in professional careers and/or volunteer service - that has made a positive impact in the lives of residents in Alameda County. For 2025's celebration, the Hall of Fame will honor women in the following categories: Business & Professions, Culture & Art, Community Service, Education, Emerging Leaders, Environmental, Health, Justice, Non-Traditional, Philanthropy, Science-Tech-Engineering, and Sports & Athletics.
Our 12 2025 inductees will be honored at the Alameda County Women's Hall of Fame Luncheon & Inductee Celebration on April 26, 2025 at The Club at Castlewood in Pleasanton.
Through this event and other community activities, the Alameda County Women's Hall of Fame generates funds to support organizations that help and support women and families in Alameda County, as well as inspiring youth.

2025 Inductees
The Alameda County Women's Hall of Fame proudly announces its 2025 class of inductees, recognizing 12 extraordinary women who have made a lasting impact on Alameda County's diverse communities.
Since its establishment in 1993, the Hall of Fame has honored nearly 300 trailblazing women, preserving their legacies in the county archives. This year's inductees continue that tradition, excelling in a range of fields:
- Business & Professions - Melanie Dulbecco, CEO of Torani
- Community Service - Diane Wong, Executive Director of J-SEI
- Culture & Art - Lori Fogarty, Director & CEO of the Oakland Museum of California
- Education - Renee Herzfeld, CEO of Community Child Care Council of Alameda County
- Emerging Leaders - Maithri Venkat, Manager - Battery Cell Engineering at Lucid Motors Inc.
- Environment - Jennifer Pett-Ridge, Group Leader - Environmental Isotope Systems at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
- Health - Anne Bakar, President & CEO of Telecare Corporation
- Justice - Bella Comelo, Commissioner of the Senior Commission of San Leandro
- Non-Traditional Careers - Bisa Grant, President & CEO of ANCHOR
- Philanthropy - Brandi Howard, President & CEO of East Bay Community Foundation
- Science, Technology & Engineering - Monya Lane, CEO of Quest Science Center
- Sports & Athletics - Tiffany Allen-Vargas, Founder/Coach at Tri City Athletic Center
This special event will also celebrate six student scholarship recipients through the Mary V. King/Wilma Chan Youth Scholarship Fund.
