Youth Scholarship Program

Mary V. King/Wilma Chan Youth Scholarship Fund

As part of the ACWHOF's focus on developing young women leaders, the Mary V. King/Wilma Chan Youth Scholarship was established in recognition of two outstanding women leaders who impacted Alameda County in numerous ways through their volunteerism and legislative tenure as County Supervisors. They inspired countless youth to learn, advocate, explore, show compassion and serve.

In 2024, ACWHOF launched its ACWHOF Scholarship Program to award four $5,000.00 scholarships to young women who are graduating high school seniors, and who reside in Alameda County. Only applications submitted through this website will be accepted. Apply here. The deadline for application submittals is midnight, February 7, 2025.

The Mary V. King/Wilma Chan Youth Scholarship is supported through generous donations from our sponsors, guests and individual donors. Kaiser Permanente endowed the scholarship in 2022 with a generous contribution. We invite you to join our campaign to benefit the Mary V. King/Wilma Chan Youth Scholarship. Your financial support will ensure that funds are available to continue this tradition and investment in our youth.
