Black Expo 2017

On July 22-23rd the 26th Annual Bay Area Black Expo took place at OAKLAND ALAMEDA COUNTY COLISEUM "EAST SIDE CLUB" – a new location for this event.

Alameda County General Services Agency’s Linda Moore coordinated the County’s participation. Agencies that participated included: Community Development Agency, District Attorney’s Office Victim-Witness Assistance, Environmental Health Vector Control, General Services Agency, Human Resources, Probation, Public Health, Public Works Agency, Social Services Agency and Sheriff’s Office. The event was a 2-day affair this year with live entertainment including local talent competing in the idol contest. Vendors ranged from non-profits to local retail businesses and included educational institutions and community and government agencies. Sponsors included Alameda County, BART, Kaiser Permanente, Capital One, East Bay MUD, the HUB and Anheuser Busch among others. This is one of the largest African-American, multi-ethnic events in the Bay Area in support of small local Oakland businesses.
