Solano Stroll 2017
This year's 43rd annual Solano Avenue Stroll in Berkeley took place on a very hot Sunday, September 10, 2017 with new shortened hours 10 am-5 pm. The mile long community sponsored street festival included booths with arts and crafts, government agencies/departments, political candidates, local businesses, food vendors, non-profits, community organizations plus games/rides for the kids and plenty of talented entertainment for the adults. The stroll began at 10 AM with the parade of dancers, marching bands, fire trucks, schools, politicians and community clubs and groups. Linda Moore of GSA-Office of Acquisition Policy coordinated the participation of the County agencies and departments. With the help of Property and Salvage, and GSA staff, the following were able to participate:
- Board of Supervisors, District 5, Keith Carson's Office and Staff
- District Attorney's Office Victim Witness Program
- Community Development Agency
- General Services Agency (GSA) Office of Acquisition Polity (OAP) and Sustainability
- Human Resource Services
- Probation Department
- Public Works Agency
